Negative thoughts
STINK!
It is really that simple. Anytime you have a negative
thought of any kind, you have only two choices. You can
acknowledge it and change it to something positive or
neutral, or you can do nothing. By doing nothing, you
are allowing more negative thoughts build to surface.
It is as if you are a magnet for negative thoughts, but
then mysteriously negative events start to occur. For
example: You go to bed late, and as a result, you end
up waking up late for work or school. You get out of
bed thinking about how you are going to get in trouble
and wondering if you are going to get detention or fired.
On your way to the bathroom, you stub your toe. Now
you are hopping around on one foot when you trip over
a shoe on the floor and fall down. You are angry and
think, “Could this day be any worse?” You
jump in the shower, and there is no soap. You get out
soaking wet and get the soap thinking all along, ““what
else can possibly go wrong today?” You get ready
to step out of the shower and realize you forgot to put
out a towel. This will continue all day if you let it.
